What is a profile?
A profile is a simple way for transplant recipients to share their transplant information along with personal thoughts in a concise, easy to read page for our website visitors. The information contained in a profile is targeted to transplant candidates, potential organ donors, and healthcare professionals. Once a profile is posted a recipient has the option of adding their success story at a later date.
How can I get my profile added to your website?
Any recipient who received their organ transplant may submit their profile using our online profile submission form. Once we receive and review it we will contact you using the e-mail address you provided in the form. Please make sure that you "whitelist" transplantsuccess.org in your e-mail program to be assured you will receive mail from us. Once we verify receipt of your complete information we will then ask you to send us a jpeg format photo of yourself via e-mail. Effective August 18, 2006 all new profile pages must include a photo.
Why must I include a photo? What type of photo should I send?
Our visitor reports have shown that most browsers look at profiles that include photos exclusively. It allows everyone to better connect and identify with you. The best photo would be a good quality digital image of you preferably wearing solid colors. The photo should only include you unless it includes your donor. You might consider asking a friend to take your photo using a digital camera. It might even be possible to use the services of a professional photographer if you let him or her know how the image will be used.
There is so much I would like to include in my profile. How can I be certain that it turns out the way I would like?
The best way to put together an effective and attention-getting profile is to make it uniquely yours. Your quote and thoughts should be genuine and heartfelt. Read several profiles and think about what you wish to include. It would be advantageous to print the profile form and write down your answers before attempting to complete the form online. Once published to our site changes can still be made.
Why can't I publish my profile directly to your website just like MySpace or Facebook?

I live in Australia. I would love to share my transplant experience with everyone in the States and all around the world. Is that possible?
Yes! Although Transplant Success is a US based transplant organization operating under IRS 501 (c)(3) guidelines we choose to allow participation to include all citizens of any country. Sorry, Transplant Success can only accept submissions written in English only.
